How the auction engine works
Gaim.zone uses a real-time WebSocket connection so all participants — League Owner, franchise bidders, and players — see every bid simultaneously with zero delay.
Players are presented in randomized order to prevent gaming the system. Each auction round starts at the base bid and rises through tiered increments as competition heats up.

Total control in your hands
As a League Owner you command the auction at every moment — and when something goes wrong mid-room, you can take it back.
Start
Launch the auction when all participants are ready.
Pause
Pause with a reason (e.g., technical issue) and set a resume time — cleanly after the current player finishes, or right now with the running lot voided. All participants see the pause reason.
Resume
Resume at any time. Participants are notified immediately.
Finish
End the auction for good. Squads lock with their current rosters and anyone unsold stays unsold — this is the one control that cannot be undone.
Void the current lot
Kill the player on the block mid-bidding — a wrong name, a wrong photo, a bid nobody meant. The lot ends with nothing sold and the room is told why it ended.
Revoke a sale
Undo a sale after the fact. The player goes back into the pool, the franchise gets its points back, and the voided lot stays in the history instead of vanishing.
Publish the next player
In MANUAL mode the auction waits between lots until you say go — so the room moves at the speed of the person holding the microphone, not a timer.

You set the economy your auction runs on
Budgets, opening prices and bid steps are yours to choose in the scheduling wizard — and Gaim.zone checks the numbers hold together before it lets you lock them in.
Max budget
The points each franchise brings to the room. Set it per auction — a neighbourhood league and a district tournament do not need the same economy.
Minimum bid
The price every player opens at. Bidding starts here and climbs the ladder from there.
Bid increments
A tiered ladder: small steps at the bottom, bigger steps once the price is serious. You define the tiers; the room enforces them.
Icon players
Hand players to franchises before the room opens, at any price — including free. They never come up for bidding: the auction starts with those squads seeded and those purses already charged.
Every franchise must still be able to afford a full squad after its icon players are charged — the wizard will not let you set a combination that makes a legal squad impossible.

Each lot still closes on its own timer, but the next player goes up only when you press Publish next player. Room for the anchor to talk, for a franchise to think, for the hall to react — the mode a live auctioneer actually wants.

The whole league, before the money round
The League Owner opens the actual room with the actual franchises and a handful of real players, so every bidder rehearses in the place they will bid for real. It ends on a timer or on the owner's word, and leaves no trace on the league.
Practice Mode runs in a browser too — open it on a laptop with nothing to install.
The same room, laid out for a big screen
Auction day usually has one person with a laptop and a projector. The room opens in a browser at gaim.zone/play — the live stage, franchise standings and the activity feed all visible at once, with nothing to install. Franchise owners who never downloaded the app can join with the league ID and bid in their real role.

Franchise owners export their squad as a themed PDF or a plain CSV; League Owners can export the whole enrolled roster the same way.
Your Sponsors, On Show
Presenting and Title sponsors appear in the auction room itself and on the exports it produces — so a backer who paid for the room is visible in it.
